Selena Gomez, Gwyneth Paltrow And More Celebrates Female Oscar Nominees At Women In Film's Pre-Oscar Party

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gwyneth Paltrow, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Allison Janney celebrated their Oscar-nominated sisters at Women in Film's fifth annual pre-Oscar party.
Of the year's nearly 200 Academy Awards nominees, 45 are women, said Cathy Shulman, president of Women in Film, Los Angeles.
"You're the best of the best," she said Friday. "But you're only a quarter of the nominees."
Women have consistently comprised less than 25 percent of annual Oscar nominees, Shulman said, "and it's important we work together to increase that statistic."
Paltrow co-hosted the party at Cecconi's restaurant, where Oscar nominees and other female filmmakers gathered to talk shop, sip Champagne and celebrate their achievements.

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” babe posted on Facebook that she wants to allow the band time to do their own thing while she focuses on her movie pursuits.
“[We] are going our separate ways for a while. This year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever.”
“We will be back but, it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for this group. They have been with me since day one and I can’t believe it’s actually over.”
