“I was never the pretty girl,” the actress tells the March issue of MIAMI Magazine. Describing her teenage self as “abrasive” and “obnoxious,” Fox, 25, says her interests have never been mainstream.

The actress, married to Beverly Hills, 90210 star Brian Austin Green, next appears in the ensemble comedy Friends With Kids (opposite Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Chris O”Dowd, Jennifer Westfeldt, Adam Scott and Ed Burns).
“I”d rather be with good people in a movie than the other way around,” Fox tells MIAMI. “Most of the cast knew each other very well already — Kristen and Maya are BFFs; it was such a nice, welcoming, supporting environment.”
Adds Fox: “I always try to choose something different than what I”ve done before.”
