This time her mistake was speaking too much too soon. Sonam went head and confidently announced that she was the leading lady in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film at a time when even he had not even finalized the details! Incidentally Sanjay hates revealing his plans before everything is in place. Perhaps he is still bitter about the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ experience where he had announced intentions to make the film with Salman and Kareena but the project never really took off.
Whatever be the reason, Sanjay was angry with Sonam for talking about the film. And he got back in the only way he could – he announced publicly that he had gone ahead and signed Kareena Kapoor as the lead!
Well if only Sonam paid equal attention to her statements as she does to her fashion, perhaps she would have more films in her kitty.
